Accountant

Job Summary:

Hashe Computer Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling accounts receivable and payable, maintaining the general ledger, managing petty cash, preparing budgets and forecasts, processing invoices and payroll, filing taxes, and managing various banking matters. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger.
  • Handle petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  • Process invoicing and ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Prepare and post journal vouchers and cash payment vouchers.
  • File income tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Conduct payment recoveries and manage collections processes.
  • Handle all banking matters, including deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations.
  • Liaise with insurance companies to manage policies and claims.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Use accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience as an Accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
